About the Program

The KidsInTech Summer Robotics & App Development Programme is an exciting two-week, hands-on STEM experience designed to introduce children to the world of robotics, coding, and mobile app development. Through fun, interactive sessions, children will learn by building real projects that spark creativity, critical thinking, and confidence.

The programme is divided into two independent one-week parts , allowing parents to enrol their child in either week or both weeks for the complete experience.
Choose What Works for You
Parents can enrol their child in:
• Week 1 – Robotics Engineering (£60)
• Week 2 – Mobile App Development (£60)
• Or both weeks (£115) for the complete learning experience.

What Children Will Learn

Week 1: Robotics Workshop (£60)
During the first week, children will learn how robots work, build and program their own robot, and develop essential STEM and problem-solving skills.
By the end of Week 1, your child will be able to:
• Identify robot components and assemble a working robot.
• Build a Delivery Robot designed to transport small objects.
• Program the robot to move using coding and keyboard controls.
• A Maze-Solving Robot that navigates through challenges using programming and logic.
• Build a Line-Following Robot that follows a marked path on the floor, just like robots used in factories and warehouses.
• Work collaboratively on team robotics projects while improving communication and teamwork.

Week 2: App Development Workshop (£60)
During the second week, children will learn how to design, build, and program their own mobile apps using MIT App Inventor.
By the end of Week 2, your child will be able to:
• Build a Stopwatch & Timer App that can be used for sports activities, classroom games, and experiments.
• Build a General Knowledge Quiz App that asks questions, keeps score, and can be used for fun competitions with family and friends.
• Build a Multiplication Quiz App that can be used for classroom quizzes, revision, and quiz competitions.
• Build a To-Do List App to organise homework, chores, and daily activities.
• Design and develop a creative app of their own based on their interests.
• Build confidence by presenting and demonstrating their completed app to parents and classmates.
No prior programming experience is required—the workshop is beginner-friendly and provides step-by-step guidance to help every child succeed while developing creativity, confidence, and valuable digital skills.
